HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 2137 - 2025 Comprehensive Water PlanWashington Resolution No. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING THE 2025 COMPREHENSIVE WATER PLAN, AND PROVIDING FOR WATER SERVICE POLICIES FOR THE CITY, AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 1857. WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila is an Optional Municipal Code city, subject to the duties imposed under the provisions of Chapter 35A of the Revised Code of Washington; and WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Water Plan identifies specific actions and strategies to manage and control the quality of the water system in Tukwila; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tukwila has deemed it desirable to adopt a Comprehensive Water Plan in accordance with the provisions of WAC 246- 290-100; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tukwila adopted the 2015 Comprehensive Water Plan via Resolution No. 1857 on April 20, 2015. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The 2025 Comprehensive Water Plan and Appendices, dated September 2025, prepared by Carollo Engineers, are attached hereto and are hereby adopted by this reference as if set forth in full. Section 2. The Comprehensive Water Plan shall be revised every ten (10) years to reflect changes in the City of Tukwila's Capital Improvement Program, which requires facility modifications, as it relates to the standards outlined in WAC 246-290-100. Section 3. Repealer. Resolution No. 1857 is hereby repealed. 2026 Legislation: Water Comprehensive Plan Version: 02/13/2026 Staff: A.
