NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Tukwila City Council will hold a public hearing
on the item listed below on Monday, April 13, 2026, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the following
telephone number for the public to participate in the meeting: 1-253-292-9750,

meeting call 1-206-433-7155. The meeting will also be conducted on -site at Tukwila City
Hall, 6200 Southcenter Blvd., Tukwila, WA.
TO PROVIDE PUBLIC HEARING COMMENTS, PLEASE EMAIL CITYCOUNCIL@TUKWILAWA.GOV,
PROVIDE YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME, AND REFERENCE THE PUBLIC HEARING TOPIC IN THE
SUBJECT LINE, BY 5:00 P.M. ON APRIL 13, 2026. ONCE YOU HAVE SIGNED UP BY EMAIL, YOUR
NAME WILL BE CALLED UPON DURING THE MEETING TO SPEAK FOR UP TO FIVE MINUTES. You
may also attend the public hearing in person and provide your comments on -site.
Moratorium for Correctional Institutions and Detention Facilities
(lst of 2 public hearings)
This hearing is being held to consider public comment and
evidence on the subject of the moratorium, pursuant to
Ordinance No. 2782, which established a 6-month
moratorium on the change of use, establishment,
expansion, or development of facilities for the detention,
transportation, and food services for people detained by
local, state, or federal law enforcement.
For those unable to attend the meeting either on -site or remotely, you may submit written
testimony to the City Clerk's office until 5:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting.
