Commissioners got to know each other better.
• Review Supporting Community -Led Programming and Cultural Celebrations
Commissioners discussed elements of a process — the types of initiatives supported,
type of support offered, criteria to select initiatives to support, and how to promote this
new opportunity. Jo to draft a process based on recommendations to review at the April
meeting.
• 2026 Work Plan
Commissioners continued discussing the identified two main focus areas in 2026.
1. Supporting community -led programming and cultural celebrations.
Next step is to develop a process as discussed.

2. Reintroducing the ESJ Commission to the Council and develop a working
relationship consistent with the stated purpose in the Commission's bylaws.
Jo provided an update that the Revised Resolution 1970 was presented at the
February 23 Community Services & Safety Committee (CMs Seal, Hedrick,
Camacho). Next step is discussion at the March 9 Council of the Whole and adoption
at the March 23 Council Meeting.
VI Miscellaneous
• The Tiny Village at the Church by the Side of the Road is having a grand opening event
on March 11.
• The Tukwila Community Coalition will meeting on March 23.
• Judge Walden offers Know Your Rights information sessions.
