CaII to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:01PM 2. Roll Call a. Board Members: • Present: Cynthia Chesak, Crystal Lyons • Online: Marie Parrish, Gerie Ventura, Robin Boland, Holly Smith, Steve Miller b. Staff: • City of Tukwila Staff: John Dunn, Recreation Superintendent • King County Library System Staff: Steven Bailey, Library Services Manager; 3. Land Acknowledgement — Gerie Ventura read the land acknowledgement: "The City of Tukwila is located on the ancestral lands of the Coast Salish people. Agenda: Crystal Lyons motioned to approve the agenda. Marie Parrish seconded the motion to approve the agenda; all were in favor. b. Minutes: Crystal Lyons motioned to approve the minutes. Standing Item: '26 goals review — The board reviewed the goals and discussed. b. 2025 year-end report — No update, will be added to next agenda. c. New ideas for support activities — The board discussed new ideas such as a teen author, Dr. Seuss event or joining a KCLS event. Staff Reports a. KCLS: Staff provided updates on the upcoming activities at the library. b. City of Tukwila: John Dunn provided an update on City and Parks and Recreation events, programs and other information. 9. Reports of Board Members/Announcements a. Crystal Lyons announced that she is moving out of area by the end of May and this will be her last meeting. 10. Next Meeting: June 2, 2026 a.
