RESOLUTION NO 338
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CERTIFICATION TO THE
KING COUNTY TREASURER OF WATER CONNECTION
CHARGES AND WATER SUPPLY CHARGES DELINQUENT
FOR A PERIOD OF SIX MONTHS, ADDING PENALTIES
TIHERETO, AND PROVIDING FOR THE ACCRUAL OF
INTEREST THEREON.
TIIE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1,. That when water connection charges or water
service charges of property served by the water system of the City
of Tukwila shall be delinquent for a period of six months, said
delinquency shall be certified by the City Treasurer to the King
County Treasurer in accordance with RCW 57.08.080.
Section 2.. When such water connection charges and water
service charges are delinquent for a period of six months, there
shall be added to the total of delinquent payments a penalty in
the amount of. 10% thereof.
Section 3. The certification of delinquency filed with
the King County Treasurer shall set forth the street address of
the property served, the legal description of the property served
and the name or names of the purported owners of said property.
From the date said certification is filed with the King County
Treasurer, the delinquent charges and added penalties shall bear
interest at the rate of 8% per annum.
Section 4. The City Treasurer shall have the option of
recording a copy of the certification of delinquency with the King
County Auditor for the purpose of establishing an additional
public record of said delinquency, but failure to record a copy
of said certification of delinquency shall in no way invalidate
the certification of delinquency.
