RESOLUTION DESIGNATING STEVENS, THOMPSON
RU1IYAN, INC., AS ENGINEERS TO DESIGN AUTO
".IATIC TRAFFIC SICITALS FOR STRANDER BOULEVARD
AND SOUTIICENTER PARKWAY INTERSECTION.
WIIEREAS The City Council finds that the appointment of a
full time City Engineer is unnecessary and in accordance with
RC1T 35.24.020 has, in lieu of such appoinOprovided for the per-
formance of necessary engineering services on a part- -time,
temporary or period basis, and
WIIEREAS It is necessary that an engineer be employed to
design automatic traffic signals for the Strander Boulevard and
Southcenter Parkway intersection,
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Tukwila,
Washington, resolve as follows:
That the firm of Stevens, Thompson Runyan, Inc.,
be employed to design automatic traffic signals for the Strander
Boulevard and Southcenter Parkway intersection and, subject to
approval by the City Council as to its terms, the City be and it
is hereby authorized through the Mayor and the Public Works
Director to enter into a contract for such purposes with Stevens,
Thompson Runyan,, Inc.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor
the 16th day of April 1973.
