Specifically IPMC 304.1.1 Unsafe Conditions...12. Exterior stairs, decks, porches, balconies ... are not structurally sound... IPMC 702.1 Means of Egress...A safe, continuous and unobstructed path of travel shall be provided from any point in a building or structure to the public way. Means of egress shall comply with the International Fire Code. The Building Official has determined that the deck and stairs at this residence are severely deteriorated and must be repaired. Emergency egress is inadequate for this dwelling. The property is unsafe to occupy. Property is condemned and must be vacated until repairs have been completed. The verification (by declaration under penalty of perjury) of each appellant as to the truth of the matters stated in the appeal. 8.
