Ordinance No. 9
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING A
NEW PARKS AND OPEN SPACE PLAN AND
REPEALING ORDINANCE 1315.
WHEREAS, RCW 35A.63.062 authorizes the City of Tukwila to perform
comprehensive park and open space planning; and
WHEREAS, the Tukwila City Council did request the Administration through the
Parks and Recreation Department prepare an updated Parks and Open Space Plan,
which includes a Master Development Plan for Foster Golf Links; and
WHEREAS, the Administration, Parks Commission, and Planning Commission
has completed review and modification of the Plan, and has forwarded the Plan to the
City Council for adoption; and
WHEREAS, the Plan has been presented to the public for comment and
modification at a public hearing on August 23,1993;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Parks and Open Space Plan, including the Master Development
Plan for Foster Golf Links, as prepared is hereby adopted as the Parks and Open Space
Plan for the City of Tukwila.
Section 2. The former Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Plan adopted by
Ordinance 1315 is hereby repealed.
Section 3. A copy of the Plan, in the form adopted by this ordinance, shall be
authenticated and recorded by the City Clerk along with this ordinance and pursuant
to RCW 35.A.12.140, not less than one copy of such documents shall be filed in the
office of the City Clerk for use and examination by the public.
Section 4. A copy of this ordinance and the Parks and Open Space Plan shall be
filed with the following City departments:
A. Community Development
B. Public Works Department
C. Finance Department
D. Parks and Recreation Department
Section 5. This ordinance or a summary thereof shall be published in the official
newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in full force five (5) days after
passage and publication as provided by law.

effective date.

written request to the City Clerk of the City of Tukwila for a copy of the text.
