In reviewing the above mentioned project plans, please note .
the following items:
1. All sprinkler drawings shall be prepared by
reputable companies licensed to perform this
type of work. Drawings shall first be approved
by the Washington Survey & Rating Bureau, then
by the Tukwila Fire Dept. No work shall commence
without approved drawings.
. Hose stations are required per City Ordinance #730.
▪ A "Fire- Lane" constructed per City Ordinance #757
is required on the rail -side of this building.
• All hollow metal columns which are capped or
encased top and bottom, are to be drilled with
relief holes equal to 15% of the diameter of
round columns, or 15% of the width of square columns.
Protective guard posts or curbs are required around
all gas meters, electrical vaults, sprinkler valves,
and hydrants.
. Flues (vents) for unit heaters must be approved
"Type -B" units
Please include these comments in your review of the above
mentioned project.

We have received the proposed Building M -4 for Cabot, Cabot and Forbes
and have reviewed it for compliance with chapters 23 through 29 of
the Uniform Building Code. Here are our comments.
1. Provide soils report mentioned.
. Particular attention should be paid during inspection to
the plywood diaphragm boundary nailing. Details indicate
.boundary nails with 10d at 2 ", 2 -1/2 ", and 4" 0.C.
into a C6 x 13 channel. We question the feasibility of this
connection and consider it important that the connection
be made adequately.
. Provide adequate reinforcement of masonry if alternate No. 1,
sheet A, is used.
