Handouts are available at the Building counter which provide more detailed information on application and plan submittal requirements. Application and plans must be complete in order to be accepted for plan review. VALUATION OF CONSTRUCTION Valuation for new construction and additions are calculated by the Department of Community Development prior to application submittal. Contact the Permit Coordinator at 431 -3670 prior to submitting application. In all cases, a valuation amount should be entered by the applicant. This figure will be reviewed and is subject to possible revision by the Building Division to comply with current fee schedules. BUILDING OWNER / AUTHORIZED AGENT If the applicant is other than the owner, registered architect/engineer, or contractor licensed by the State of Washington, a notarized letter from the property owner authorizing the agent to submit this permit application and obtain the permit will be required as part of this submittal. EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall . expire by limitations. The building official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180 days upon written request by the applicant as defined in Section 304(d) of the Uniform Building Code (current edition). No application shall be extended more than once. The footings did have independent inspection and was poured at our risk should my engineer have made a mistake. I know the engineering was correct and the area was needed for panels. Sorry. Please address the following comments. 1. Revise the building code reference on the title sheet to the 1994 U.B.C. edition. 2. Interior glazing adjacent to office doors throughout the first and second floors are keyed as not having safety glazing. Correct the key notes to match the appropriate window schedule safety glazing on sheet TA -5. 3. The second floor office mezzanine and the storage mezzanine level cannot be considered separate floor areas by the use of a demising wall for the purpose of exempting vertical access in U.B.C. amendment Section 1103.2.2. Review the enclosed code interpretation and provide vertical access or an alternate design. Additionally provide appropriate egress access to the storage mezzanine. 4. The travel distance from south portions of the warehouse is greater than 200 feet to all exit doors conforming with U.B.C. section 3304, an addition exit must be provided. 5. On July 12, 1995 structural sheet S -6 and S -7 detailing concrete panels were submitted as revisions. No explanation is given regarding the relevance of these sheets to this tenant improvement permit application. Are sheets S -6 and S -7 meant as a revision for the building shell permit #B95 -0115 ? 6. The structural design live load for the mezzanine is noted on Sheet S -1 as 50 pounds. The 50 pound live load is adequate for the office floor areas. However, the proposed mezzanine storage area must be designed to a minimum 125 pounds for light storage per U.B.C. table 16 -A. Revise all applicable footings, joist to wall ledger support, joist framing, etc. 8. The keyed mezzanine footing sizes Q -2 and R -2 are not referenced in the footing schedule on sheet S -1 or as noted on the overall building plan of permit #B95- 0115. Provide the revised footing schedule with any size revision resulting from increase floor loads for storage noted in item #7 above. Special note: To complicate the above subject footing inspection and related requirements, it has come to the attention of this department that these footings have already been installed. This installation was done without the Tukwila Building Division's prior review or approval. Please include a narrative explanation and a proposal to resolve this matter. 9. The direction of north shown on the structural plans is incorrect. 10. On sheet TA -1 under Energy Code Information, the references stating, "Lighting will be submitted under a tenant improvement", must be removed. 11. In addition to the submitted light budget, attach to the plans a keyed lighting fixture schedule reflective of the lighting budget and a plan layout for reference during field inspection per W.S.E.C. Section's 1141.2 and 1142.2. 12. The reflective ceilings are shown to have insulation supported by them. How will this be accomplished in conformance to W.S.E.C. Section 1311.2 ?
