<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila has a long tradition of volunteerism that has
<br /> i continuously enhanced the quality of life within the community; and

<br /> WHEREAS, during 2010, volunteers donated more than 13,759 hours to City- c
<br /> a=° sponsored projects such as coaching youth basketball, mentoring teens,
<br /> monitoring handicapped parking slots, delivering Meals -on- Wheels, serving on
<br /> City Boards and Commissions, and more; and
<br /> WHEREAS, Tukwila's School District, the faith community and local
<br /> o_ businesses promote volunteerism through their participation in volunteer projects
<br /> that benefit all Tukwila citizens, such as the beautification of City parks; and

<br /> i vision with service in working with City Departments to ensure a clean, safe and
