r <br />VIII II�II I A� �U(a & 1 U C1 R E a 1F 10 N <br />ARTS COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />July 9, 2015 5:00 p.m. Tukwila Community Center <br />Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Commission Chair, Steve Mullet at 9:30 am <br />Attendance: Commissioners — Cynthia Chesak, Steve Mullet, Brian Kennedy <br />Staff — Stephanie Gardner - Brown, Parks and Recreation <br />Approval of Minutes: Minutes from the June 2nd meeting will be approved at the Commission's August <br />meetng. <br />Citizen Comment: There were no Citizen Comments <br />Business Items: <br />a. SeedArts — Tukwila Village Art Studio Visit: The Arts Commission embarked on a studio visit <br />to meet with Kathy Fowells (artist) and Mary Coss (SeedArts Art Manager). The Commission <br />departed the Tukwila Community Center at 9:30 am and arrived at the studio at 10am. Kathy <br />Fowells reviewed her art piece, shared progress, and how the pieces is being constructed. She <br />and Mary Coss reviewed the other two pieces currently being constructed at different studios. <br />The Arts Commission was very pleased and asked several questions. Cynthia Chesak made a <br />motion to endorse the artwork, all other Commissioners were in favor and the motion carried. <br />Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 11:30 am <br />
