ARTS COMMISSION <br />IR.E"S & Ru (.RENic'1(:) MINUTES <br />00 September 15, 2015 5:00 p.m. Tukwila Community Center <br />Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Commission Chair, Steve Mullet at 5:00 PM <br />Attendance: Commissioners — Cynthia Chesak, Steve Mullet, Brian Kennedy, Daniel Humkey <br />Absent: Trisha Gilmore <br />Staff — Stephanie Gardner - Brown, Parks and Recreation <br />Approval of Minutes: Minutes from the August 18, 2015 meeting were unanimously approved. <br />Citizen Comment: There were no Citizen Comments <br />Business Items: <br />a. Arts 1% Implementation Guidelines and Procedures Review: <br />Stephanie Gardner presented the most recent draft of the Guidelines and <br />Procedures for Municipal Arts Fund. The Commission reviewed the document and <br />asked several questions. The areas of concern from the Commission is ensuring <br />that funding will not be removed; solidifying processes for integrating public art and <br />ensuring art is integrated into City capital projects; and who will oversee the <br />coordination of the fund and management of the fund. <br />Stephanie informed the Commission of an upcoming meeting on 9/22/15 which will <br />include a review of the document with 4Culture. She also informed the Commission <br />of an upcoming Public Art Workshop, which focuses on integrating public art into <br />Capital Projects, that workshop will be held on 10/7/15 from 1 — 3 pm at the Tukwila <br />Community Center. <br />Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 6:00 pm <br />Next Meeting: TBD <br />
