City of Tukwila <br />City Council Community Services & Safety Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />October 12, 2020 - 5:30 p.m. - Electronic Meeting due to COVID-19 Emergency <br />Councilmembers Present: Kate Kruller, Chair; Thomas McLeod, Cynthia Delostrinos Johnson <br />Staff Present: <br />Rachel Bianchi, Stacy Hansen, Hodo Hussein, Laurel Humphrey <br />Chair Kruller called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />I. BUSINESS AGENDA <br />A. Human Services Advisory Board Funding Recommendations for 2021-2022 <br />Staff presented the 2021-2022 funding recommendations from the Human Services Advisory <br />Board. <br />Committee Recommendation: <br />Discussion only. <br />11. MISCELLANEOUS <br />• Staff updated the Committee on the forthcoming process for hiring a Police <br />Chief. Committee members suggested including a Councilmember in the <br />selection process. Chair Kruller suggested outreach to Foster High's Black <br />Student Union. Staff will finalize the draft shortly and publish. <br />• Staff reported that the online Budget survey is open through 10/23/20 and has a <br />good response rate so far. <br />• Governor Inslee has extended the eviction moratorium through the end of the <br />year. <br />• Chair Kruller mentioned that Administration provided a thorough email <br />response detailing city efforts to assist families displaced by the Foster Creek <br />Apartment fire. <br />The meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m. <br />/7"/ <br />Minutes <br />Minutes by LH <br />Committee Chair Approval <br />
