City of <br />.: City Council Community Services & Safety Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />April 19,2021 - 5:30 p.m. -Electronic Meeting due to COVID-19 Emergency <br />Councilmembers Present: Cynthia Delostrinos Johnson, Chair; De'Sean Quinn, Zak Idan <br />Staff Present: David Cline, Eric Drever, Jay Wittwer, Norm Golden, James Booth, Vicky <br />Carlsen, Laurel Humphrey, Jake Berry, Stacy Hansen, Dale Rock, Ben <br />Hayman, Rick Still <br />Chair Delostrinos Johnson called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />I. BUSINESS AGENDA <br />A. Grant Application: King County 2021 Minor Home Repair Program <br />Staff is seeking Council approval to apply to King County for $100,000 in Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funds for the Minor Home Repair Program in Tukwila, <br />Covington, Des Moines and SeaTac. <br />Items(s) requiring follow-up: <br />Provide list of allowable projects for CDBG funding. <br />Committee Recommendation: <br />Councilmember Quinn was not present. Councilmember Idan recused himself from making a <br />recommendation. No recommendation. Forward to May 3, 2021 Regular Meeting. <br />B. Grant Application: South 115th St. Property Acquisition <br />The grant application will be scheduled for discussion at next week's Finance & Governance <br />Committee meeting. <br />Councilmember Quinnjoined the meeting. <br />C. Regional Mental Health Co -Responder Partnership <br />Staff provided an update on the South King County regional co -responder program, which will <br />provide mental health professionals alongside law enforcement in certain crisis scenarios. <br />Committee Recommendation: <br />Discussion only. <br />D. 2021 1st Quarter Police Department Report <br />Staff presented the report, highlighting significant items from the first quarter. <br />Committee Recommendation: <br />Discussion only. <br />
