City of <br />.: City Council Community Services & Safety Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 3, 2021 - 5.•30 p. m. -Electronic Meeting due to COVID-19 Emergency <br />Councilmembers Present: Cynthia Delostrinos Johnson, Chair; De'Sean Quinn, Zak Idan <br />Staff Present: David Cline, Ben Hayman, Tracy Gallaway, Eric Drever, Mindi Mattson, <br />Norm Golden, Jay Wittwer, Kris Kelly, Laurel Humphrey <br />Chair Delostrinos Johnson called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />BUSINESSAGENDA <br />A. 2021 Parks & Recreation Capital Projects and Related Contracts <br />Staff provided an overview of capital projects completed in 2020 and planned for 2021, and <br />requested authorization for two contracts: 1) Security Lines US in the amount of $143,456 for <br />security cameras at Cascade View, Codiga, Crystal Springs, Tukwila Pond, and the Community <br />Center; 2) Mid Pac Construction Inc. in the amount of$53,000for tennis court repairs atTukwila <br />Park and Crystal Springs. <br />Items(s) requiring follow --up. <br />Provide additional context for security cameras in parks, including potential benefit to the <br />community and insight from the Police Department. <br />Committee Recommendation. <br />Mid Pac Construction Inc.
