BUSINESSAGENDA <br />A. COVID-19 Community Assistance: Temporary Rules <br />Staff is seeking Council approval to extend through January 15, 2022 the interim policy <br />regarding outdoor seating and temporary signage to help businesses operate under COVID-19 <br />restrictions. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Unanimous approval. Forward to May 17, 2021 Regular Consent Agenda. <br />B. Highline College Small Business Development Center <br />Mr. Shockley presented an overview of services provided by the Small Business Development <br />Center. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Discussion only. <br />C. Economic Development Plan Budget <br />Staff presented a potential option to fund an Economic Development Plan for an estimated <br />$150,000, to include a basic plan, expanded outreach, and improved business contacts <br />database. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Discussion only. Details will be included in the May 10, 2021 full Council discussion on revenue <br />and service restoration. <br />D. Development Review Permitting <br />Staff presented an overview of development permit volumes and how pandemic budget <br />reductions and other staffing issues have contributed to reduced capacity and increased <br />permit review times. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Discussion only. Discussion of the frozen Associate Planner position will be included in the May <br />10, 2021 full Council discussion on revenue and service restoration. <br />
