City of Tukwila <br />City Council Transportation & Infrastructure Services Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 7, 2022 5:30 p.m. - Electronic Meeting due to COVID-19 Emergency <br />Councilmembers Present: Kate Kruller, Chair; Mohamed Abdi, Tosh Sharp <br />Staff Present: David Cline, Hari Ponnekanti, Seong Kim, Adib Attalla', Griffin Lerner, <br />Adam Cox, Eric Dreyer <br />Chair Kruller called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />I. BUSINESS AGENDA <br />A. Amendment: Macadam Road South Water Upgrade and Sidewalk Improvements Project <br />Staff is seeking Council approval of Amendment No. 3 to Contract No. 21-22 with PACE <br />Engineers, Inc. in the amount of $150,062.40 for the Macadam Road South Water Upgrade <br />Project. The amendment includes a fulltime inspector. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Unanimous approval. Forward to March 21, 2022 Regular Consent Agenda. <br />B. Grant Application: 42nd Avenue South Bridge Replacement Project <br />Staff is seeking Committee approval to apply for $8,429,000 in Rebuilding American <br />Infrastructure with Sustainability & Equity (RAISE) grant funding for the 42nd Avenue South <br />Bridge Replacement Project. Mr. Cline indicated that staff will be recommending <br />replacement of the bridge at its current location and further discussion will occur at the next <br />meeting. <br />Item(s) for follow-up: <br />• Provide survey link to Councilmembers for assistance with constituent outreach. <br />• Send BNSF, WDOT, and Representative Hackney letters to the Allentown listserv. <br />• Add link to traffic calming priority projects on Neighborhood Traffic Calming website. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Unanimous approval. <br />C. Solid Waste Contract Status Update <br />Staff briefed the Committee on the status of the RFP process. Councilmembers and staff <br />discussed overall community outreach efforts in the city. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Return to Committee. <br />
