City of Tukwila <br />City Council Finance & Governance Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 28, 2022 - 5:30 p.m. - Electronic Meeting due to COVID-19 Emergency <br />Councilmembers Present: De'Sean Quinn, Chair; Kate Kruller, Cynthia Delostrinos Johnson <br />Staff Present: <br />Rachel Bianchi, Laurel Humphrey, Joel Bush <br />Chair Quinn called the meeting to order. <br />I. BUSINESS AGENDA <br />A. Ordinance: Adding Juneteenth to the List of Legal Holidays <br />Staff is seeking Council approval of an ordinance that would add Juneteenth as a new legal <br />holiday and an additional floating holiday to be consistent with current practice. <br />Item(s) for Follow-up: <br />Identify when the second floating holiday was given to employees. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Unanimous approval. Forward to April 11, 2022 Committee of the Whole. <br />B. GIS Technician Position <br />Staff is seeking Council approval of a one-year GIS Technician position to support completion <br />of the Public Works As -Built Drawings Project. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Unanimous approval. Forward to March 28, 2022 Committee of the Whole and Special Meeting. <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br />Councilmember Kruller referenced a sample budget proposal from the King County Regional <br />Peacekeepers Collective, which may be eligible for ARPA funding.
