City of Tukwila <br />City Council Finance & Governance Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />April 11, 2022 - 5:30 p.m. - Electronic Meeting due to COVID-19 Emergency <br />Councilmembers Present: <br />Staff Present: <br />De'Sean Quinn, Chair; Kate Kruller, Cynthia Delostrinos Johnson <br />Rachel Bianchi, Laurel Humphrey, Tony Cullerton, Vicky Carlsen, <br />David Rosen, Niesha Fort -Brooks <br />Chair Quinn called the meeting to order. <br />I. BUSINESS AGENDA <br />A. Changes to the Open Public Meetings Act <br />Staff updated the Committee on recent changes to the OPMA arising from Engrossed <br />Substitute House Bill 1329. <br />Item(s) for Follow-up: <br />Prepare a potential amendment to the City Council Rules of Procedure regarding remote <br />attendance at Council meetings. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Return to Committee. <br />B. 2022 Committee Work Plan <br />Committee members and staff discussed the anticipated work of the year. <br />Item(s) for Follow-up: <br />Add ARPA discussion to 2nd Quarter <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Unanimous approval. Forward to March 28, 2022 Committee of the Whole and Special Meeting. <br />C. 2023/2024 Biennial Budget Outreach <br />Staff updated the Committee on plans for public outreach on the 2023/2024 Budget. <br />Councilmembers provided feedback. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Return to Committee. <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br />1. Staff provided an update on the potential for the Consumer Price Index (CPI) to be as high <br />as 9 or 10% for next year, which will have significant impact to the budget. <br />
