':&K <br />�.pJ1LA� w\ <br />Office of the Ma or <br />Tukwila, Washington <br />�190a <br />PROCLAVIATI0IT <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works services provided in our community are an integral <br />part of the daily lives of our citizens; and <br />WHEREAS, the efficient and effective provision of these services greatly enhances <br />the health, safety, and welfare of our community; and <br />WHEREAS, quality and effectiveness in the design and construction of public <br />facilities and in the provision of public services is vitally dependent on the knowledge, <br />skills, and dedication of the Public Works staff and officials in the City of Tukwila; and <br />WHEREAS, the support of the community and the understanding of the <br />importance of the work performed by Public Works staff significantly influences their <br />ability to respond to the needs of the citizens; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, Jim Haggerton, Mayor of the City of Tukwila, do hereby <br />proclaim May 20 through May 26, 2012, with this year's theme "Public Works: Creating <br />a Lasting Impression, as <br />National Public Works Week <br />in the City of Tukwila, and I invite all citizens and civic organizations to acquaint <br />themselves with the challenges confronted in the provision of Public Works services in <br />our community and to recognize the daily contributions our Public Works Department <br />staff make to our health, safety and quality of life. <br />Presented at the City Council Meeting this 21" day of May, 2012. <br />Haggerto ayor of Tukwila <br />Z� <br />37 <br />
