Lois Newton, who asked for a chairman fdr the meeting. Mr. Radford moved that Mr. Minkler, resident of the Council, act as Chairman in the absence of Mayor Baker, seconded by Mr. Doyle and carried. Mr. Minkler introduced Mr. Querry, representing lahe Dept. of Public assistance, to again present the Work Relief Program. Mr. Ives reported that he and Mr. Doyle were working on this project and the Council agreed it seemed feasible. Mr. 1+Iinkler announced a petition to advance the town of Tukwila to a city of the third Class had received many signatures. The Clerk reported there were 243 signatures of qualified electors, more than enouel to make the petition valid. Mr. Hamilton moved Resolution No. 137, requesting the County Auditor to provide for a special election on the advancement of the Town of Tukwila from a fourth class town to a third class city to be held on or before the 1st day of August, 1961, be Adoptedy_sedonded. by..I .:_Foyle aUdacarried. Mr. John Ehrlichman, town attorney, discussed with the Council the proposed relocation of a 60 inch water pipeline, owned by the City of Seattle and presently maintained across properties of Puget estern, Inc, and 0 outhcenter Corp. in Tukwila. Mr. Doylw moved the adoption of Resolution No. 138, which would assure the City of Seattle that at such time as the town is regi,ested to grant a franchise and permit for such relocated portion of the pipeline it shall do so on the basis that the rights thereby granted to the City of Seattle shall be irrevocable as long as the relocated pipeline shall occupy the portion of 67th Ave. So. and So. 158th Street agreed upon, seconded by mr. Ives and carried. Mr. Minkler asked Mr. Radford, Mr. Ives and Mr. Hamilton to check on the underground facilities in the Development. Mr. Minkler asked Mr. Hamilton for a report on the application of Mr. Charles Johnson for a pin ball license. Mr. tamilton presented an application from Mr. Frank Desimone for permission to secmre a Master Pin ball license in Tukwila. Mr. Hamilton recommended a Master �in ball License be issued to both Mr. Johnson and Mr. Desimone, and moved the license be granted in each case, seconded by Mr. Radford and carried. Mr. Desimone also regkested permission to operate Tukwila. Mr. Ives moved this request be tabled until by Mr. Doyle and carried. Mr. Suzuki, representing _Shoreline Construction Co error had been made on the Vvater 'ontract awarded his error would work a hardship. He asked the Council to and renegotiate the contract. Current Expense Fund- Mr. Zepp, expenses sanitation school $56.30 261 Ordinance No. 330, relating to the registrations of felons, was by motion of Mr. Doyle placed on its first reading, seconded by Mr. and carried. Mr. Ives moved Ordinance No. 330 be palced on its second reading, seconded by Mr. Hamilton and carried. Mr. Doyle moved Ordinance No. 330 be placed on its third reading and final passage, seconded by Mr. Hamilton and carried. Mr. Minkler asked the Street Committee to meet on June 27th at 6 :30 P.M.
