Steve:
Complete demolition of existing 5-1/2' tilt -up concrete walls should be delayed until new
foundations and lateral bracing are In place. Selective demolition (removal of one panel
+1- 30') as required to provide demolition construction access along Grid A, V or 16 can
occur without adversely impacting the structural integrity of the existing structure.

Dear Mr. Nelsen:
In response to your memo to Brenda Holt dated May 10, 2000, please accept Sabey Corporation's
supplemental submission to Revision #1 to the above referenced permit application. Per our telephone
conversation this morning, I am attaching (5) copies new drawing A0.1. Drawing A0.1 outlines the
allowable areas and existing areas of Building 3. It also shows the parcel boundaries and the setbacks from
Building 3 to the parcel boundaries.
Outlined below are our written responses to your comments:
Item #1: Refer to attached drawing A0.1 for location of parcel property lines and associated setbacks.
Item #4): Refer to attached drawing A0.1 for Building 3 allowable area information and required yard
set backs. After doing some additional research into Building 3 (based upon drawings
previously reviewed by the City of Tukwila), we discovered that there are multiple
construction types listed for the building. These types range from Type III N to Type V 1
HR. We calculated the allowable square footage based upon the individual construction types
for each demised space within Building 3, utilizing allowable area increases per Chapter 5 of
the 1997 UBC. We then compared the allowable to the actual square footages and determined
that all but one space in Building 3 meets the allowable area requirements. The single space
that does not comply is a Type V -N sprinklered space, and is over the allowable area by 840
SF. This will be remedied by the addition of a 2 HR area separation wall as required to meet
the code required allowable area.

The attached set of building plans have been reviewed by
The Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the
following concerns:
1. All new sprinkler systems and all modifications to
existing sprinkler systems shall have fire department
review and approval of drawings prior to installation or
modification. New sprinkler systems and all modifications
to sprinkler systems involving more than 50 heads shall
have the written approval of the W.S.R.B., Factory Mutual,
Industrial Risk Insurers, Kemper or any other
representative designated and /or recognized by The City of
Tukwila, prior to submittal to the Tukwila Fire Prevention
Bureau. No sprinkler work shall commence without approved
drawings. (City Ordinance #1742)
