signs which are internally or externally illuminated, or
self-luminous shall be provided in all interior exit
corridors serving guest rooms of hotels in Group R,
Division 1 occupancies. The bottom of the sign shall not
be less than 6 inches or more than 8 inches above the floor
level. For exit doors, the sign shall be on the door or
adjacent to the door with the closest edge of the sign
within 4 inches of the door frame. (UFC 1212.6)

use only)
9. Identify location and size of existing trees that are located in sensitive areas and buffer (TMC 18.45.040), of
those, identify by size and species which are to be removed and saved
10. Landscape plan with irrigation and existing trees to be saved by size and species (exterior changes or change
of use only)
11. Location and gross floor area of existing structure with dimensions and setback
12. Lowest finished floor elevation (if in flood control zone)
13. See Public Works Checklist for detailed civil /site plan information required for Public Works Review (Form H-
9).

❑ ❑ Copy of Washington State Department of Labor and Industries Valid Contractor's License. If no
contractor has been selected at time of application a copy of this license will be required before the
permit is issued OR submit Form H -4, "Affidavit in Lieu of Contractor Registration ".

00700 GENERAL CONDITIONS
During the construction period, the Contractor shall be
responsible for the safety of the construction project, including
all excavation procedures. The Contractor shall provide adequate
lagging, shoring, bracing, guys and protection of adjacent
property, structures, streets, and utilities in accordance with
all national, state, and local safety ordinances.
DO NOT SCALE DRAWINGS.
All information shown on the drawings relative to existing
conditions is given as the best present knowledge, but without
guarantee of accuracy. Where actual conditions conflict with the
drawings they shall be reported to the Engineer so that the
proper revisions may be made. Construction modifications shall
not be made without written approval of the Engineer.
Provide vertical support and lateral bracing for electrical and
mechanical equipment, vents, ducts, and piping per the applicable

01455 TESTING AND INSPECTION
All special inspection and testing shall comply with UBC Sections
1701, 1703, 1704, other applicable building code sections and are
in addition to the inspections made by the Building Official per
UBC Section 108.
Special inspections are required for the following work:
Installation of adhesive anchors
Special inspectors and testing laboratories shall be PROVIDED BY
THE OWNER. The Contractor shall coordinate special inspections
as well as standard building inspections with the construction
schedule and is responsible for facilitating access to areas to
be inspected. Special inspectors and testing laboratories shall
be certified by the Washington Association of Building Officials
(WABO) and approved by the Building Official.
The special inspector shall observe the work for conformance with
the design drawings and specifications and furnish inspection
reports to the Building Official and the Engineer. All
discrepancies shall be brought to the immediate attention of the
Contractor, Engineer, and the Building Official. The special
inspector shall submit a final signed report stating whether the
inspected work was in conformance with the design drawings and
specifications and the applicable provisions of the building
code.
Special inspections per UBC Section 1704 are required unless
fabricator is approved per Section 1701.7.

DIVISION 3 - CONCRETE
Adhesive anchors shall be one of the following:
ICBO Report
Hilti HIT HY 150 system with A 36 threaded rod ER -5193
Simpson ET with A 307 threaded rod ER -4945
Substitution of another product requires approval of the
Engineer.
Install anchors per the ICBO Report and the manufacturer's
instructions. Special inspection is required during
` installation. See Section 01455. Do not cut or damage existing
reinforcing to install anchors.

I arrived on the jobsite to perform special inspection and field testing for today's scheduled placing of epoxy
threaded rods. Inspection and testing performed as follows:
I inspected the placing of the flange beams for the north door opening. The contractor drilled each hole to a
depth of 5" and cleaned each hole with a wire brush and compressed air. Each hole received Hilti HY150
epoxy, followed by a 5/8" threaded rod. Rods were placed with a twisting motion to release air pockets.
Workmanship and materials are in accordance with the engineer's detail and manufacturers recommendations.
