ORDINANCE NO. 581
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9 OF
ORDINANCE 215 AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE 375
(Pin Ball and Amusement Machines)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 9 of Ordinance 215 as amended by Ordinance 375 is
hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 9. In addition to any other remedy provided by law
any device required to be licensed under Section 1 of this ordinance
and which is not so licensed may be seized by any peace officer,
and a notice of intention summarily to destroy such machine or
device must thereupon be posted in a conspicuous place upon the
premises in or upon which such machine or device was seized. Such
machine or device shall be held by the officer for thirty days
after such posting, and if no action is commenced to recover
possession of such machine or device within thirty days, and no
notice of the commencement of such an action is served on the
officer, or his superior, the machine or device shall be summarily
destroyed by such officer, or if such machine or device is held
by the court in any civil or cirminal action to be in violation of
this chapter, the same shall be summarily destroyed by such officer
immediately after the decision of the court has become final.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Tukwila, Washington
and APPROVED by the Mayor this day of 1969.
