AN ORDINANCE creating a Civil Service
Commission for the Fire Department with-
in the City of Tukwila and providing for
appointment of members and prescribing
powers and duties.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Pursuant to the authorities conferred by
Chapter 41.08 Revised Code of Washington, there is hereby
created a Civil Service Commission to execute the powers and
perform the duties established by such state law in connection
with the selection, appointment and employment of firemen,
including the Fire Chief of the City of Tukwila.
Section 2: Sections 41.08.030 to 41.08.900 inclusive of
the Revised Code of Washington, are hereby adopted by this
reference by the City of Tukwila, and all of the details and
provisions of said sections are hereby made a part of this
ordinance as fully as if set forth in full and incorporated
herein.
Section 3: Such Commission shall be composed of three
members to be appointed by the Mayor as set forth in RCW
41.08.030, who shall serve without compensation. Such commissioners
shall have the qualifications prescribed by RCW 41.08.030.

PASSED by the City Council of the City of Tukwila,
Washington and APPROVED by the Mayor at a regular meeting
thereof this 5 Z day of 64 1969.
