ORDINANCE NO. 568
AN ORDINANCE adopting a general penalty clause
applicable to the ordinances of Tukwila and
repealing all prior penalty provisions with
the exception of Sections 6,7 and 8 of
Ordinance 414.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Violations Penalty. It shall be unlawful
for any person to violate any provision or to fail to comply with
any of the requirements of the ordinances of Tukwila. Any person
violating any of the provisions or failing to comply with any of
the mandatory requirements of the ordinances of Tukwila, unless
provision is otherwise therein made, shall upon conviction thereof,
be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars, or by
imprisonment for a period of not more than six months, or by both
such fine and imprisonment. Each such person shall be guilty of
a separate offense for each and every day during any portion of
which any violation of any provisions of the ordinances of Tukwila
is committed, continued, or permitted by such person and shall be
punished accordingly. In addition to the penalties hereinabove
provided, any condition caused or permitted to exist in violation
of any of the provisions of the ordinances of Tukwila shall be
deemed a public nuisance and may be, by this City, summarily
abated as such, and each day that such condition continues shall
be regarded as a new and separate offense.
Section 2. Prior penalty provisions repealed. All
prior penalty provisions of the City of Tukwila, with the exception
of Sections 6, 7 and 8 of Ordinance 414, which are saved from
repeal, are hereby repealed.
