ORDINANCE NO. 555 :674
AN ORDINANCE vacating a portion of Tukwila
Parkway and Fifty- seventh Avenue South within
the City of Tukwila.
WHEREAS, petition has been filed with the City
Clerk of the City of Tukwila requesting vacation of that
O portion of Tukwila Parkway and Fifty- seventh Avenue South

described below; and
WHEREAS, by resolution No. 224, adopted April 21,
1969, the City Council of the City of Tukwila fixed the 19th
day of May, 1969, at 8 o'clock P.M. in the council chambers
of the City Hall of the City of Tukwila, Washington, as the
time and place when the petition would be heard and determined
by the City Council of the City of Tukwila; and
WHEREAS, due notice of the hearing upon said petition
was given in the manner provided by law and said hearing was
held by the City Council on May 19, 1969, pursuant to RCW 35.79;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has now determined to grant
said petition,
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Tukwila, Washington, do ordain as follows:
That that portion of Tukwila Parkway and Fifty
seventh South (as conveyed to the City of Tukwila by Deed
recorded under Auditor's file No. 5735981) described as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of the
Southwest quarter of Section 23, Township 23
North, Range 4 East, W.M.; thence N 89°40'24"
W. on the westerly extension of the South line

of the Southeast quarter of said Section 23 a
distance of 217.00 feet; thence N. 0 °19'36" E.
828.90 feet to the southerly margin of said
Tukwila Parkway as recorded under said Auditor's
file No. 5735981 and the true point of beginning;
thence N. 0 °19'36" E 1.55 feet to a point on a
565.79 foot radius curve concave to the Southeast
through which a radial line bears S. 4 °34'32" E.;
thence West along said curve 282.00 feet to a
point of compound curve to the left of 339.07
foot radius; thence southwesterly along said
curve 37.76 feet to a point on the southeasterly
margin of said Tukwila Parkway; thence northeasterly
along said southeasterly margin to true point of
beginning, situated in King County, Washington,
3 be, and it is hereby abandoned, discontinued, closed and
vacated as a public street.

PASSED by the City Council'and APPROVED by the
Mayor of the City of Tukwila, Washington, at a regular meeting
thereof this 19th day of May, 1969.
