I am pleased to forward to you the attached application of Brooke Alford. Ms. Alford has
applied for the vacancy on our Planning Commission, Position #6, which became vacant with the
resignation of Henry Marvin this past August. This position has an unexpired teini, which will
expire on March 31, 2011.
Ms. Alford has active in our community for years. She currently sits as Chair of the
Tukwila Parks Commission, a position which she would step away from upon being appointed to
the Planning Commission.
Unless I hear otherwise from members of the City Council before November 5, I will invite Ms.
Alford to the November 17, 2008 Regular City Council meeting to have her appointment
confirmed.
