b. Appointment of Alma Villegas to Position #8 on the Equity and Diversity
Commission, with a term expiring 7/31/2009.
c. Appointment of Eugene DeMesa to Position #9 on the Equity and Diversity
Commission, with a term expiring 7/31/2010.

5. CONSENT a. Approval of Minutes: 9/15/08 (Regular); 9/22/08 (Special).

c. Accept as complete the Minkler Shop Re -Roof Building B Project with Pacific Pg.11
Sheet Metal and Roofing, Inc.; authorize release of retainage, subject to the
standard claim and lien release procedures (final cost of project, including
retainage: $91,489.83).
6. UNFINISHED Authorize the purchase of an automated cashiering system from the Finance Pg.17
BUSINESS Department budget in the amount of $40,000.00 (see 9/22/08 C.O. W.).
7. NEW BUSINESS a. An ordinance establishing a six -month moratorium on the acceptance of Pg.19
applications for sign, development, and electrical permits for certain types of
signage.
b. Authorize the Mayor to enter into a settlement agreement to resolve the matter Pg.27
of Union Pacific Railroad v. City of Tukwila, Cause No. 07- 2- 23751KNT in the
amount of $125,000.00.
