Attached you will find the application of Mr. Steve Mullet, who has applied to fill this vacancy. This term is set to expire on 12/31/2008. Rather than having to reappoint in four months, I would ask that we make this appointment at this time with the expiration date of 12/31/2012. Equity Diversity Commission (2 year term) Position #8 School District Representative This position was recently vacated when Emma Mercado moved out of the country. Attached you will find the application of Ms. Alma Villegas, who has applied to fill this vacancy. The term in this unexpired position is set to expire 7/31/2009. Position #9 Community Representative Attached you will find the application of Mr. Eugene DeMesa, who has applied to fill the vacancy in Position #9. The term in this position is set to expire 7/31/2010. Unless I hear otherwise from members of the City Council before September 30, I will invite these citizens to the October 6, 2008 Regular City Council meeting to have these appointments confirmed.
