HomeMy WebLinkAbout1911-01-10 New Council MinutesTukwila, Washington January 10,1966 The first meeting of the new form council was held at Lutz Hall on the above date. The meeting has been opened by the Mayor at 8:00 PM. There were present: E.W. Engel Mayor B.G. Northrup F.E. Kline John O. Wold M.H. Miller and Eugene Sandahl Councilmembers Mayor engel took Oath of Office two Terms at the opening of meeting the Mayor appointed C.P. Jensen Clerk and Dave Williams Marshal of the Town of Tukwila. The following Business was The Clerk was to the Puget Sound Electric Company to slow down speed at station and and railroad crossings and a new ordinance to speed of said road was ordered drawn and reported as at next meeting. The Council was asked to pay the Marshalls out of Town funds, but was not deemed proper so to do. Mr. McIntyere was named Police Magistrate and Mr. Northrup appointed to see him about it. The need of a desk for the Clerk was agreed on. The Town Property Committee was ordered to purchase one. The Clerk was instructed to notify Mr. W. Lutz to open registration books. there was no such books on the committee from property was ordered to buy Mr. W. Lutz was named Deposit Registration Clerk of which the Clerk was instructed to notify him and ask him not to reading of gratification to voters. The following streets were ordered vacated: Maule Avenue, Reitz Avenue and Clarence Avenue. The Clerk was given instruction to notify the parties, having these streets under fence. The question about the same before the meeting, but nothing on the question. Mr. Miller reported that we were about to lose out The Street Committee was ordered to Mr. B.H. Kassner asked for about it fix Warren Avenue. Mr. Northrup motioned for Street Committee to investigate and if sanctioned by Committee to order the work done. The report from Treasurer formed by auditing Committee. There not further Business before the meeting. Adjournment was taken at 10:15 PM. C.P. Jensen Clerk
