Engel, tIa;yor B. G. Northrup, F.E. Kline and John 0. Wold, Councilmen. 1.linutes of the last meeting were read and approved. The proposed improvement-of thin Street Clarence, Avenue was discussed at length. It tiaras ascertained that the cost would probably be ire the neighborhood of 0200. and it was decided to let the matter drop for the present. Iir. Viold was authorized to remove and take care of the ltuaber purchased to build sidewalk from Riverside to Rainier, and to clean out ditch. Ordinance No 24, relat:in to the running at large of stoc- in _the Streets of Tukwila, was passed on its third reading and ordered posted. The matter of lights for the Streets was brought up and dis- cussed at length, and the Clark was ordered to correspond with the Puget Souna Posner Company, to ascertain toe cost of installing Elec- tric Lights. Also to write the Independent Tel. Co. to ascertain if .the Toren could use their poles for stringing Light wires. Er. For-thrup._,nomirl ted yr. The motion was duly seconded, and there being no negative votes cast, the Clerk was instructed to cast the unanimous vote of the Council, upon which :ter. _filler too?; the oath of of- and was duly installed. Addenda: In the discussion of the proposed improvement of Reitz Avenue, a motion was introduced to fill up the ditch for its entire length on Reitz Avenue, beginning near the Depot. After considerable argument, pro and con, the question was put to vote, resulting in a tie the 1.jayor casting the deciding vote in the negative. BoT cnrup, E.E.Kline and John 0.
