Radke (McCann 294 -L) In reviewing the above mentioned project plans, please note the following: 1. Per UFC Sec. 10.104(b), "A11 doors in or leading to exits shall be maintained open - able from the inside without the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort at all times when the building or area served thereby is occupied." 2. Per UFC Sec. 10.113, "At every required exit doorway, and wherever otherwise required to clearly indicate the direction of egress, an exit sign with letters at least 6 inches high and readily distinguishable shall be maintained." 3. Maintain sprinkler protection for all enclosed areas. Fire Prevention Bureau April 13, 1979 4. Maintain hose station coverage per City Ordin- ance #730. 5. Fire extinguishers shall be provided per NFPA #10, as a minimum requirement. Install two 21/2 gallon pressurized water units, and two 2A -10 B:C "All- Purpose" dry - chemical units. 6. Per NFPA requirements, extinguishers with a gross weight of 40 pounds or less shall be hung so that the top of the extinguisher is not higher than 60 inches above the floor. Extinguishers weighing more than 40 pounds, shall be hung so that the top of the unit is not higher than 42 inches above the floor.
