There were Present: E.W. Engel, Mayor Jno. 0. Wold, F.E. Kline, Jno. W. Wilson and B.G. Northrup, Councilmen. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Mr. Wold reported that no definite decision had been reached as -1, to the best method of draining the low-lying land of the Town, and;. -:_1 after some discussion, it was decided to call a special meeting of tb. committee on drainage, at an early date, to take this matter up and.0 to some definite conclusion as to the m- nner in which the above land.$ shall be drained and made habitable. An Ordinance to govern the running at large of stock in the streets of Tukwila was presented by Mr. Northrup for consideration by the Council, and after some argument, the same was laid on the table; until the next meeting. The matter of a Bulletin Board was brought up and the Committee_ on Town Property was instructed to procure one forthwith. The Town Marshal tendered his resignation which was accepted. TY Mayor appointed Mr Dave Williams to take his place, and the appointme was immediately confirmed by the Council. After some discussion the resignation_ of the Police Magistrate was again laid over until the next meeting for consideration. The Clerk was instructed to write the County Health Officer, the effect that the Town of Tukwila has no Health Officer, and calls_ his'attention again to the nuisance maintained by the P.S.E.Railway, i.e. The stagnant water which is allowed to stand along the Companyt -41 right -o f -w ay. Complaint was Made in regard to barriers which are maintained_ an some of the Public Streets, but after considerable discussion. deA nite conclusion was arrived at. Petition was read for the orea3tion of a Local Improvement Distr, for the Improvement of Riverside Avenue within certain defined�imit Referred to Committee on Streets and Alleys. 14r. Wold asked for permission to repair the Street or road lead_. from Riverside Avenue to Foster. Granted.. The Clerk's bilk. for Ballinger's Code, $19.60 and incidental ex- penses, amounting in all to $22.30, was allowed and warrant ordered drawn in payment thereof. There being no further business to come before the Council, ing was adjourned at 10:15 P.M. E.F..GREENE. Clerk.
