The regular meeting of the Town Council was held on the above date, being called to order by the l -Tayor at the hour of 8 :00 o'clock P.tli. There were present: E.W. Engel, 1 ayor. Jno.O.1 Wold, I+ E. Kline B. G, Northrup and J.W. Wilson, Councilmen. Minutes of the l meting were read and approved. Mr. Wold reported that Rluff Street had been improved as rec�- oru mended. h1r. Wold also made a report on the matter of the closing up of the alley between_ the Doubleday and ?f places; this alley has been used as a highway by people desirous of entering the Town oz Tukwila, for several years, and was closed by 1r. Jordan, although he expressed a wilingness to rent the necessary amount of land to keep the road open, for a term of years, having closed the road merely to preserve his rights in the premises. Mir. Miller expressed his willing- ness to allow the necessary amount of land to be used off his property for the purposes-of a road. Referred back to the committee. A petition was presented in favor of allowing cows to roar: at large through the Town. 4 general discussion was 'meld in re this matter and was finally referred to the Committee on T-aws and Ordinances, with instructions to drr.v: up an ordinance permitting the cows to run at large but subject to certain restrictions and regulations, said Ordinance being subject to revision by the Council as a whole. communication was read from the County Health Officer, in reply to a letter written him by the Town Clerk, wit_ reference to a nuisance maintained by the P. S,E.Ry. viz: The allowing of water (stagnant) to stand within the Town, it which he stated that he had no jurisdiction and ±h-at it should be referred to the Health Officer of Tukwila, all of which brought up a discussion_ of ways and means as to the draining off of said low land, and was finally referred to the Corumit on Streets and Alleys. The fol:lowirg bills were revid, approved and :varrELnts ordered drawn in their payment: IN.
