An initial department review of Hayden Island plan sheets 1, 2, & 3 of 3
dated 8/17/79, by the Public Works Department, has been completed and our
comments are as follows:
1) Permits required are as follows:
a) Hauling
b) Street Use: curb cuts /access /sidewalks
c) Street Use: sewer /water connections in public right -of -way
d) Water meter /water service - domestic
e) Sprinkler pit /fire loop
2) Provide access to storm service (i.e. catch basin) for maintaining
drains at 8" x 8" x 10" tee at the east end of property and provide
straight connection from catch basin at northeast corner of property
to tee to allow maintenance.
3) Provide driveway aprons, sprinkler pits, sidewalks, manholes, curbs,
bicycle proof grates /frames, etc. per Standard Plans of the City of
Tukwila.
4) Indicate location per property lines connection locations and invert
elevations. Specify, as necessary, jack, tunnel and /or auger for
all connections in public right -of -way beneath paved streets. Open
trenching in public sidewalks or other areas shall be per City of
Tukwila requirements.
5) Provide access for maintenance and repair at 90 bend in 4" forcemain.
6) Provide minimum backup sanitary pump station storage capacity of
eight hours (at average high flows) to insure adequate repair period
allowed due to mechanical breakdown. Also provide electrical source
and monitoring and alarm system for mechanical pump failure.

GRADING .PERMIT PLAN CHECK COMMENTS - HAYDEN.ISLAND.
PLANNING. DIVISION
Please. withhold release of the subject preliminary grading permit;
the Planning Division has n�t .yet received a copy of the required
King County Hydraulics permit which may contain conditions relative
to grading in the vicinity of the channel on the project's southerly
boundary. Also, the grading plan as presented does not reflect a
60' public roadway easement reservation on the southerly edge of the
site; this facility may be required as a condition of the BSIP, and
, will be resolved at the. 8/30/79 meeting of the Short Subdivision
Committee.
