Upon completion of the installation of a system, 'a satisfactory test of the entire installation shall be made in the presence of a representative of the Tukwila Fire Department. The alarm system shall have electrically supervised circuits employing a direct circuit connection between signaling devices at the protected premises and, signal receiving equipment in an approved, remote central station. Electrically operated circuits, instruments, and devices, together with necessary electrical energy, shall transmit alarms and supervisory and trouble signals, necessary for the protection of the life and property. The alarm system shall be electrically supervised so that the occurrence of a break or a ground fault condition of its install- ation wiring circuit which prevents the required operation of the system, or failure of its main power supply source, will be indicated by a distinctive trouble signal. Detectors shall be installed in all rooms, halls, storage areas, basements, attics, lofts, spaces above suspended ceilings, and other sub - divisions and accessible spaces, and inside all closets, elevator shafts, enclosed stairways, dumbwaiter shafts and chutes. A secondary (stand -by power) supply for operation of the system in the event of failure of the primary power supply, shall be provided. The secondary power supply source shall be independ- ent of other sources. Renton /Issaquah Road Renton, WA 98055 RE: Building Permit Application - Tukwila Baptist Church Dear Mr. Cook: City of Tukwila Tukwila Community Center 4101 South 131st Street Tukwila, Washington 98168 Parks & Recreation Division 433 -1857 We are in receipt of your building permit application on the Tukwila Baptist Church as it relates to the new church structure. We have reviewed this with the codes of the City and the approval of the conditional use permit by the Tukwila Planning Commission and have the following comments: 1. Per the approval of the conditional use permit by the Planning Com- mission on August 11, 1978, the cross section of the revised site plan drawn by a licensed professional engineer shall depict the proposed site elevations and extent of excavation and shall be sub- mitted with the building permit. This excavation to comply with the 1976 Uniform Building Code. Sheet 7 of your proposed set of building plans shows the cross section. This sheet must be stamped by a professional engineer. 2. The Planning Commission, on August 11, 1978, requird that provisions for landscape treatment of the eastern side of the property to be made on the site plan. On March 22, 1979, they revised that to state that "East bank landscaping be completed 90 days after comple- tion of grading. If grading is done in the winter time it would be expected that in lieu of a landscape being done 90 days after that some kind of erosion control plan of a temporary nature would be in effect." In relation to this, your site plan must be changed to show a mix of evergreen and deciduous trees in addition to the proposed landscaping and ground cover plants closer on center. Also, your erosion control method must be shown. 3. Two of the portables presently on the property must be removed within 90 days of issuance of the certificate of occupancy on the structure or after occupancy by the church. This will be placed as a condition on the building permit. 4. Approval of any building permit for the church structure does not in- clude the gymnasium addition. This must be handled under a separate permit process. 5. No excavation is to be done in the ten -foot sewer easement on the east side of the property without specific written approval of the Tukwila Public Works Department. Leon Cook Page 2 3 July 1979 6. The Tukwila Municipal Code requires screening for driveways or parking facilities adjacent to single - family land. Please revise your site plan to indicate your method of screening treatment on the north and south property line. It can be accomplished by either a solid screen planting and /or a decorative obscuring fence 6 -feet high. If a planting area option is chosen, it would need to be a minimum of 5 -feet in width. 7. It is noted that the parking area is to be crushed rock. Your site plan must show the method of identifying the parking spaces and the method of providing wheel stops. 8. This site plan must identify the treatment of the land adjacent to the north and south side of the building. It appears your intent to gravel this area for access to the rear portion of the property. This should be verified or stated on the site plan and the method of turning a vehicle around on the rear portion of the property shown, if it is the intent to have a driveway in these areas. 9. The internal planting areas shown in the parking lot are proposed to be 2 -feet wide. These planting areas must be a minimum of five -feet wide and so shown on your plans. The above items reflect only those items required by the Planning Division of the City of Tukwila. You should expect other review comments from the Public Works Department, Fire Department and /or Building Department in addi- tion to these. Until you have complied with the above referenced items, the City of Tukwila cannot issue your building permit. We would encourage you to comply with the above items as soon as possible.
