The regular meeting of ;'he Council was held on the above date:,
and was called to order by the Mayor at the hour of 8 :10 P.M.
There were Present:
E.W. Engel, Mayor,
Jno. 0. Wold,
B, G. Northrup;
Jno Wilson and
F. E. Kline Counci4.men.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Reports of Committees:
Streets Alleys,. i.r. Vrold, Chairman reported that a complain
.had ben filed. on account of a slide rear Black River, on Bluff St,,
and moved that the Committee be ordered to remove it. Carried.
Complaint was also made that the Alley, used as a Street, between-
the Doubleday and filler property had been closed u;., by the owner,
Mr. Jordan. After some discussion it developed that Jir.Jordan would
consent to signing a lease of the roadway in question for five years,
and the matter was referred back to the Committee.
The ques :ion was- brought up as to whether* 11r. '.`,reiderman would
construct the sidewalk over trie. right- of -v:ay which was purchased by
the Torn some time ago, and over Which there seemed to be a misunder-
standing as to responsibility. Mr. Weiderinan denied any responsibil-
ity it the matter, and it was left to the Streets Alleys Committee
to confer with interested parties, that is; with the parties whom. the
above mentioned sidewalk would most accomodate, and ascertain if they
would not undertake the cons -ruction of the walk in question, and in
the event of failure to come to such an understanding., the lumber
which was purchased by the Town for the purpose, out of i4r.FgUler's
share of the proceeds of the above mentior_ed right -cf -way, is to be
turned over to him (h!r,Eggler),
The Clerk was ordered to cm.- Municate with �A.Ir. Louis Foss, Ravens
dale, !Washington, askir_g hi:y to build a sidewalk ir_ front of' his prop-
erty in the Town, connect with the sidewalk on either side of his
property.
The Clerk was also order to notify the County Physician that
there several places along their right- of- v:ay.within the Town limits,_
and adjacent to residences, where stagnant water is allowed to gather
and that it is dangerous to the health of the- cormunity,
Laws w Ordinances:
flr: ?ortEirup stated that,, complaint haca been lodged with him in
regard tostock running at large in the Town. The Council asked for
a Petition on the :matter before it could act.
The Clerk was instructed to answer a communication frog. the
P,S.F,Co. asking that Ordinance Yo. 19 be repealed, stating to-them
that it was not the intention of the Council to repeal said ordinance,
and that the ordinance was created not for the purpose of persecuting
or punishing their company, but as a safeguard to human life.

payment of three month'-s hall rent
A` the hoar of there being no further business to transact,
meeting was adjourned.
