SPONSOR'S City Council approved the Emergency Management Phase 1 initiatives on May 21, 2007
SUMMARY which included $100,000 for the First Responder DERT. The DERT will provide shelter
support for up to 100 emergency workers. Originally presented as one trailer, this purchase
is for 2 DERTs, each housing supplies for 50 workers. Also included in the purchase authority
are 13 disaster kits, an emergency water system, and 27 NOAA weather radios for city
facilities.
