The regular meeting of the Town Council was held on the above date, at their chambers, meeting being called to order by the Clerk, who presented the resignation of Joel Shomaker. kir. Shomaker's resignation was accepted with regrets by the Council, and Councilman J. ni. Hall was duly elected to fltll his place as Kayor pro tem until the next general election, and after having taken the oath of office, .was duly installed as such. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Ordinance lTO. 19, regulating the speed of Interurban trains through the Town of Tuk-trila was presented andpassed upon its first reading. The rmles were then suspended and Ordinance No. 19 was passed on its second and third reading and xxtimdordered published and the Clerk was instructed to send a copy of the salve to the Seattle- Tacoraa Interurban Railway Co. to act 5 fy ?r. Johansen -oved that the Clerk be instructed the Health Officer to compel the Puget Sound Electric R.R.Co, to drain the water frovi their property in the Town of Tukwila. Carried, The Peti ton for a sidewalk through private property from Rainier Avenue to Highland Drive, was referred to the committee on Streets Alleys wit the recommendation tr4hey confer with the property owners wit- a view to getting froru� the necessary quit claims to the Town, and then the -tovm will donate X100, for the purpose of complet- ing the improvement.. lir. Hopkins asks for $20. more to complete the improvement of Reitz Avenue, Granted. The following bills were allowed and warrants ordered drawn in their payment; H. 11. i1yers $23.40 S. dyers 3.26 E. H.
