Dear Al,
In reviewing the above mentioned project plans, please note
the following items:
1.
Per UFC Sec. 10.113, "At every required exit
doorway, and wherever otherwise required to
clearly indicate the direction of egress, an
exit sign with letters at least 6 inches high
and readily distinguishable shall be maintained."
Maintain sprinkler protection for all enclosed
areas. (Includes combustible or partially
combustible canopies, entries and overhangs.)
• Hose stations are required per City Ordinance #730.
Fire extinguisher type, quantity and placement
shall be per NFP.A #10.
Automatic- opening roof smoke vents are required
per Sec. 35.106(a) of the Uniform Fire Code.
(11 required)
6. Fire hydrants are required as detailed in City
Ordinance #729.
7. Protective guard posts or curbs are required
around all gas meters, electrical vaults, sprinkler
valves and hydrants.
. A Fire Dept. access lane is required between
Bldgs. #410 & 255.
