Bldgs. #1 & 2 In reviewing the above mentioned project plans, please note the following items: 1. Per UFC Sec. 10.104(b), "All doors in or lead- ing to exits shall be maintained openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort at all times when the building or area served thereby is occupied." 2. Per UFC Sec. 10.113, "At every required exit doorway, and wherever otherwise required to clearly indicate the direction of egress, an exit sign with letters at least 6 inches high and readily distinguishable shall be maintained." 3. Maintain sprinkler protection for all enclosed areas. (Includes under stairs and under exterior canopies, overhangs and entry -ways which are constructed of combustible materials.) Hose stations are required per City Ordinance #730. 5. Fire extinguisher type, quantity and placement shall be per NFPA #10. 6. Protective guard posts or curbs are required around all gas meters, electrical vaults, sprinkler valves and hydrants. 7. A roof access hatch and ladder shall be provided from the inside of the building. Please include these comments in your review of the above mentioned project.
