A Special 111eeting of the Town Council was hele, on the above date
being called to order by the mayor at the hour of 80 30 o'clock Ptlf*
The 1- stated that the meeting had been called in pursuance
to the laws of the State of Washington, relatirg to the matter of
taxation, And pursuant to notice regularly given and published on
C.1
August 24th, 1909, for the purpose of determining the rate of taxa-
tion for the year 1910,
There were present:
Joel Shomaker, Mayor
J.M. Hall,
Jno. G. Hopkins and
Frank We Johansen, CouncilDieD.
An opportunity was given to any taxpayer to file protest against.-A!
the levying of a tax it accordance with the above notice. There beind
no protest, a Res.)`Ltion was unanimous"y adopted, suspending the rulesi
and Ordirance No, 18, authorizing the levying of a ten-mill (.010)
tax on the current valuation of all the property within the limits
of the Town of Tukwila, in accordance with, and for the- purposes aji t
set forth in 4-- he said notice of August 24th 1909, as follows, to-wit.

its first reading, and the Clerk authorized to have the same published
and certify one copy to the according to law.
There being no further business, meeting was adjourned at the
hour of 9:35 P.1.
