THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
All fire hydrants Installed within the
corporate limits of the City of Tukwila
shall meet or exceed the following species-
cations and standards:
Section 1. TYPE.
Hydrants shall conform • to Atrwkan
Water Works. Association Specifications
C 502.511 shall be compressian•type and
shall have a two-piece breaking fierge
with breaking thimble at the ground line
of stem; shall have a seit.oillnq dry bonnet,,
with factory flllad reservoir noting at.

Listed below you will find he requirements for ul4ergro storage
tanks and dispensers.
1. The tank shall be located not less than 1 foot from
any building foundation and not Jess than 3 feet
from any property line. The tank shall be covered
with at least 18 inches of well-tamped earth or 4 -
sand, then by at least 6 inches of reinforced conrete.
The concrete shall extend not less than I foot, horizon-
tally, beyond the tank in all directions. The tank
shall be surrounded by well-tamped sand or soft earth.
An emergency electrical shut-off shall be located
between 15 and 75 feet from the dispenser.
The switch shall be conspicuously labeled.
3. A 20 B-C dry-chemical extinguisher shall be located
not more than 75 feet from the dispenser.
