Tukwila, Washington, August 24th 1909.
The Regular Meeting of the Council was held or_ the above date
at their Chambers, meeting being celled to order by the rayor at the
hour of 8 :15 P.M. o'clock.
There were present:
Joel Shomaker, Mayor
J.I1.Hall
J.W. Wilson,
Jr.o.G.Hopkins and
Frank W.Johansen, Councilmen.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved..
Reports of Committees:
Mr. Hall, of Ways and weans, presented an estimate of the ex-
penses of the Town for the ensuing year, as provided by 13;r. Upon
motion made and duly secobded, the sane was accepted and ordered pub-
lished.
Cdr. Hall, of Laws and Ordinances asks for more time in regard
to regulating the speed of R.R,Trains through the Town; also; more time
for the consideration of a franchise for the Renton Telephone Company.
The Mayor recommended thit ±Y'e Council take action on the matter
of installing a Light and Water plant in Tukwila, and after some dis-
cussion it was decided to a special meeting of the Council on
Tuesday, August 31st, to consider the advisability of calling an
election to vote bonds for the purpose of installing such a plant.
The fellowir_g bills were read and approved; and warrants ordered
drawn in their payment:
