IMPROVED ENVIRONMENT FOR COMMUNITY
LIVABILITY
❖ Two derelict properties have been abated under
the recently amended Nuisance Ordinance.
❖ Rental housing inspections have commenced in
Zone 3, which encompasses Tukwila
International Blvd.

STRENGTHENED FINANCIAL FUNDAMENTALS
❖ City's Compensation Policy has been
adopted.
❖ Year -end (2012) was better than anticipated
and current reserves are higher than
expected.
❖ Staff are continuously evaluating revenue
oaaortunities.

UPDATED PLANS AND POLICIES THAT ARE ALIGNED WITH
THE COMMUNITY'S VISION
❖ Comprehensive Plan update continues -
several elements have been finalized.
❖ PROS Plan - Strategies/Recommendations
being developed.
❖ Global to Local health promoters /liaisons in
place and we are beginning our City Govt.

❖ Testing completed on the City's new permit
software, TRAKiT (early Nov)
