meeting of the Town Council was held on the above date, with
Joel Shomaker, Mayor -:in the chair, meeting being called to order ate
the hour of 8;30 P *M.

The minutes of the last meetin were read and approved

_that committee work in conjunction With`a; similar comm3tteeU r6d
the�_Improvement Club, in an endeavor to get _relief in the tb of
obtaining a suitable school. Carried.
A.communi.catiori from the P.S.L.R'y. Co. was read, in which -they,
expressed their willingness to improve the Depot, but were unwilling_
to build a switch at this point,
on- Sewers Drainage
The Committee call a meeting for_ the purpo'se'=of cori=�z
(erring with interested property owners on the: matter of draining
the low land of the Town. Mr. Johansen, Chairman of that Commit
announced that the first meeting for that purpose would beheld on_
Monday evening next, June 14th 'Mr. Johansen also exhibited blue:.
prints .and profile maps, showing. the lay of the land in question,
and the feasibility or desirability of the different plans for drainage.
The following bill was read, and after being approved by the
auditing board, warrant was ordered drawn in payment thereof.
H.M,Myers, Street and Drainage repairs, X3.00`
Mr. Johansen stated that Canada Thistles were being allowed -to m
grow in certain parts of the Town. The Marshal was directed to__hot
owners of the property where _these thistles growing, according
to law.
Mr. Springer was present, and asked permission of the Counc
bring up the question of a School District for Tukwila. An, info
debate of the iquestior_ followed, and it decided to, appoint a._ C6WSW`
mittee to act with Mr. Springer, go to Olympia, if necessary, dnri
the Extraordinary Session of Legislature, In an endeavor. to __get_ :auk
the School accomodations to which she is entitled. The -Clerk was
Instructed to write kon. Mr. Webster, Representative of'_ zha
District,-the Hon. W,G.Norris, _Representative and Senator X87$r�k`
