Building Department
City of Tukwila
Dear Al:
In reviewing the above mentioned project plans, please note
the following items:
1. Per UFC Sec. 10.104(b), "All doors in or lead-
ing to exits shall be maintained openable from
the inside without the use of a key or any
special knowledge or effort at all times when .
the building or area served thereby is occupied ".
2. All sprinkler drawings shall be prepared by
companies licensed to perform this type of work.
Drawings shall first be approved by the Washington
Survey & Rating Bureau, then by the Tukwila Fire
Dept. No work shall commence without approved
drawings.
Maintain sprinkler protection for all enclosed
areas.
3. Hose stations are required per City Ordinance #730.
4. Fire extinguisher type, quantity, and placement
shall be per NFPA #10.
5. Protective guard posts or curbs are required around
all gas meters, electrical vaults, sprinkler valves
and hydrants.
6. I strongly suggest that floor drains be installed
in the computer room and other areas of high - value.
This will help to minimize damage from water build-
up in the event of a sprinkler water -flow or other
accidental water discharge.
Requirements for underground gasoline tanks and
dispensers are attached.
Please include these comments in your review of the above mentioned
project.
