In reviewing the above mentioned project plans, please note
the following items:
1. Sprinkler drawings have been approved for the
addition.. Superior Fire Protection Co. is
doing the work.
Extinguishers must be provided per NFPA #10,
(Extra Hazard Occupancy).
A fire hydrant is required at the rear of the
building. (Ord. #729)
Protective guard posts or curbs are required
around all gas meters, electrical vaults,
sprinkler valves and hydrants.
Electrical service in the Gel -coat and Lay-up
rooms to be Class I, Div:` I per the National
Electrical Code.
Approved means must be provided for the storage .

Attention: Mr. Barney Ruppert
Mr. Jim Hoel asked me to write you and explain the type of
manufacturing Kirschner Scientific will be doing at 402
Strander Boulevard.
Kirschner manufactures fiberglass animal caging and veteri-
nary orthopedic equipment. We will be maintaining a flammable
or combustible liquid spraying operation, consisting of polyester
resins of approximately 25 gallons per day in an approved spray
room.
We require an outside underground tank of 1,000 gallon capacity
to store acetone for cleaning purposes. We will be storing
resin in an outside fenced security area in quantities of a
maximum amount of five (5) barrels.
Welding will be done inside the main building at a considerable
distance from the spraying operation. Also, we will maintain
a complete machine and sheet metal shop.
